'9-257A-S-O' (1971) silkscreen print by Aubrey Penny (American 1917 - 2000). Pencil signed and dated by artist. Edition of 100. Safety orange ink on paper. Aubrey Penny was an innovative California abstract artist who worked in a variety of mediums. Owner of the No-os gallery on La Cienega Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA, from 1955-70s, he is described as the "originator of style. "No-oism" or "mind line", inspired by the mind in the continuum and how "chemical-electric relationships lead to neural energy, to feeling, to act."
