Contemporary double signed Marvin Bailey pottery snake jug. 'Marvin Bailey' carved and signed to base. Jug features a mottled light brown glaze and is wrapped with a hand sculpted black serpent with realistically incised scales. Excellent condition - see photos for condition details.

Marvin Bailey is a self-taught potter from Lancaster, South Carolina famous for his highly expressive, whimsical, and sometimes grotesque characters.
