Murano amber, olive + cobalt faceted sommerso glass perfume bottle with stopper. Unmarked. Squat body of olive-green glass cased in layers of amber, teal-blue and smoky brown, with large round polished facets cut around the sides and a dark brown feathered pattern visible inside. Banded amber and teal collar. The flat disc stopper holds a cobalt blue ring and amber center inside amber and clear rings, with a polished dark edge and a long clear glass dauber. Seed bubbles and small inclusions in the glass, typical of hand work. Small flakes to the stopper edge, white residue where the dauber joins the stopper, and light scratches to the base - See photos for condition details.

Sommerso, Italian for "submerged," is a Murano technique in which layers of colored glass are cased one inside another for deep, banded color.
