Original 1980s Set of 3 Chinese Abstract Lithographs by Cheung Yee (1936-2019). Highly Chinese collectible artist. Pencil signed and numbered by artist. Editions 10 and 15 of 150. Originally part of a 1985 promotional "Artist of the world" collection for the German Lufthansa Airline for their first class passengers. Cheung Yee (1936–2019) was a pioneering Hong Kong artist and sculptor renowned for his innovative integration of traditional Chinese aesthetics with modernist abstraction. A founding member of the Circle Art Group in the 1960s, he played a key role in the development of contemporary art in Hong Kong. Cheung was especially known for his cast paper reliefs and bronze sculptures, which often drew inspiration from ancient Chinese symbols, calligraphy, and cultural motifs. His work bridged East and West, past and present, earning him recognition both locally and internationally. In addition to his artistic practice, Cheung was an influential educator, serving as a professor and department head at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
